In-Line Filter Holder – Proven Aerosol Sampling Design by MW Enterprises, LLC

MW Enterprises, LLC manufactures the original in-line filter holder, previously developed and produced by In-Tox Products, LLC—recognized leaders in aerosol research instrumentation. This versatile holder is designed to accommodate both 25 mm and 47 mm filters, offering flexibility for a wide range of aerosol sampling applications.

Filters are the primary standard for determining aerosol concentration. As air is drawn through the system, particles are collected via interception, inertial impaction, and diffusion. Sample flow is calibrated, and filters are weighed before and after sampling to calculate differential mass. Aerosol concentration is then determined by dividing the weight change by the sampled air volume (flow rate × time). Alternatively, chemical analysis may be used in place of gravimetric measurement.
